The Don Maisey Blog Has Moved

Well,  after many frustrating attempts, my blog has now moved to it’s new location.  I told you it wasn’t moving far, just to a subdirectory.  My main site will be up and running just as soon as I am sure this blog is working correctly and I finish the initial content for the main page.  In the meantime, if you find anything not running properly, just let me know and I’ll see if I can fix it.

The Don Maisey Blog Is Moving

Yes, The Don Maisey Blog is moving.  I’m not moving far, just to a new location to allow for expansion of my main site into other areas.  No doubt this will break all my links both in and out, so please be patient with me as I make the change.  After I’ve moved, the main page will have a link to the new location.  Until then, it’s business as usual.

Has Anybody Got A Spare Ark?

Has anybody got a spare ark I can borrow? I will probably only need it for 40 days and 40 nights. After that, if you haven’t been washed away, you can have it back.

Fair dinkum, it’s been raining here for so long even the ducks have taken shelter.   The weather bureau has stopped saying if it will rain or not.  They now only tell us how much rain we can expect.

Just a few years ago our dams were nearly empty.  Billions of dollars was spent to build a desalination plant in Sydney.  Now, millions of dollars are spent to keep it idle whilst the dams fill up and megalitres run down the streets and into the sea every minute.  We have serious flooding to the north of NSW and into QLD.

I haven’t umpired a game of cricket for so long, I’ll have to re-sit my exam! (some players think I should anyway).

So, if you have a spare ark, I would be greatful for you assistance.

Note: Italian cruise ships need not apply.

A Gift For You

Everybody likes something for free. I know I do. For many years I have been quietly accumulating a number of still and animated gif files from all over the internet. Many people have commented on them when I have used them in my blog posts, especially the beer drinking smiley.

So now is your chance to have a sample of my collection for free – no strings attached – no need to give me an email address – no nothing. In short – it’s FREE.

All you have to do is download the zip file containing the gifs here or from the sidebar on the right.

I’ve not done much with them except to collect them into a folder and zip them up, so you will have to work out what to do with them yourself. If you open them in your favourite web browser, they should play properly if they are animated. Some of them are not, so don’t expect too much. Please note that these were all aquired for free and are in the public domain. I have a great deal more that are copyrighted and I cannot give these away.

The file has been checked for viruses with Avast! Internet Security v6.0.1367 on my computer and ClamAV on my web host.

Anyway, have fun with them and please let me know what you think of them.

More of Sam 2012

I missed this video first time around.  You may have to listen to it a few times to pick up the humour.

I’ve got the lamb butterfly ready for Australia Day. All I need is all those barbie girls to turn up.
