Of course, we have our usual speeches and ceremonies, but the one person to unite Australia time and time again on this glorious day is Sam Kekovich. 1. Happy Australia day. Had not a clue what it was until I Googled it. You guys should just call it the 4th of July like we do with our America Day, then everybody in the northern hemisphere would know what you were talking about πŸ™‚

  2. That’s right Hansi, we celebrate the 4th of July on the 26th January. I might also mention that on the 26th January 1788, we had fortifications set up to repel an invasion by the yanks. After all, you had defeated King George in your war of independence and Australia was a British colony at the time. πŸ˜‰

  3. Hi Don,

I hope you are having a great day and enjoying your lamb on the BBQ. Quite an interesting fellow this Sam Kekovich. Was an x football player eh. Nice out going personality he has. He should run for president. Seems like he’s a good leader, funny guy too. I like him. Have a great day Don. Later,

  4. Hi Terry,

I’m still getting over the festivities .

Yes, Sam is a legend. He can speak so fast, make so many non-pc jokes in the shortest possible time and still keep a straight face. Sam for the first President of Australia. πŸ™‚

  5. We are not allowed a UK or England day Don for fear of upsetting other cultures that live here. Pathetic isn’t it?
