Defining Moments Part 1

There are a number of defining moments in one’s life.  The first was in 1954 when I had my hand stuck to a kerosene heater and I still bear the scars to this day.  Another was in 1967 when the first world-wide television satellite link-up took place – I stayed up and watched the lot.  Still another was in 1969 when Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon – again I stayed up for over 48 hours so that I didn’t miss a thing.  I’m sure you’ve seen the moon-walk many times but for those who may be too young to know, here it is:

Now, for those of you who are too young to remember the first world-wide television satellite link-up, England’s contribution was this:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

  1. Nostalgia may not be what it used to be Don, but it’s still great fun. I remember John Glenn, and the first walk in space, as we had time off from school lessons to watch TV. Practically everyone who was alive at the time saw those first steps on the moon.

Thanks for the “All you need is Love” track. Mick Jagger and Brian Jones (I think) were part of the groupie audience.

I don’t know if this is a wordpress upgrade problem, but I could watch the video fine in small view, when I click full screen however I get a black screen?

I hope the next upgrade comes quickly. This new version messes things up in edit mode as well.

  2. Hmmm… Full screen works for me, but it is blocky (low resolution). Viewing a YT video should not be affected by your wordpress version. There may be something else wrong.

  3. Just checked on another computer Don and the video works fine. I hope I haven’t got a virus of some sort on my main computer. Fingers crossed.

  4. More likely a video driver problem than a virus John. Check for the latest updates for your computer.
